What a relief!

So our exams ended yesterday,
and we decided to head down to the city
for a scrumptious celebratory lunch
and maybe some exploring around Notts!

We decided to go to Las Iguanas for lunch... :)

You can get a better look at their menu here :D

Good company is always a must :)

Wai Kwan (the 27-hour sleeping record holder) :D

Gel-gel :)

Phillip :)

Kar Loon and Abel a.k.a. Jason a.k.a. Kevin :D

Biaobiao don't want to show face to camera
so I threaten to bite him :p

He doesn't relent :(

Then Gel also tries to get him to open up to the camera :D
She tries to camwhore with him, lol.

Okaylah, jadi-jadi sikit :D

Then our food came! :) :) :)

First is my Pescado con Coco £11.40
Fresh haddock, fat Chilean blue mussels in their shells, crayfish tails in a light, fragrant saffron & coconut broth with little new potatoes, cannelloni beans & baby tomatoes

Next is Philip's
Roast Duck and Caramelised Onions Enchilada £9.70
Hand-rolled tortilla smothered in a homemade smoked chilli & tomato sauce with melted cheese, served with refried beans & garlic & coriander rice

Then it's Gel's
Spiced Chicken Breast and Cheese Chimichanga £9.40
Crisp, handmade tortilla parcel; a Mexican favourite, served with homemade salsa, guacamole, soured cream, garlic & coriander rice & refried beans

Up next, Kar Loon's Puerto Rican Paella £10.70
Traditional dish of rice in a sofrito of tomato, garlic, saffron, onion, peppers & cayenne with chicken, smoked pork and garlic chorizo, squid, salmon, prawn and mussels.

Then, it was Wai Kwan's Burrito £7.90
Hand-rolled tortilla topped with melted mozzarella, smoked chilli & tomato sauce, soured cream, guacamole & served with crisp salad. Filled with rice, cheese and shiitake, portobello, button and oyster mushrooms.

Last but not least, Abel's Tapas (3 dishes for £12.60)

We picked

Rioja Chorizo £4.90
Traditionally made smoked pork & garlic chorizo, braised in rich Faustino Rioja wine,
served with bread to mop up the juices
.

Calamares £5.00
Sliced whole baby squid in our crisped cassava crumb, with creamy aioli.

Albondigas £5.10
Authentic & indulgent Patagonian-style lamb meatballs with apple, nutmeg & mint, braised in
a light tomato & red chilli sauce, served with parmesan-style cheese.

Happy people with fantastic food,
except Abel, who's not very happy posing for the camera :p

We positively cleaned up the place! :D

The food came up to about £55,
coz we had a 20% off voucher from Studentbean
(it's wonderful being a student here, discounts everywhere!)
and it was well worth the money,
coz we shared and everyone got to try everything! :)

Then we parted with Phil and Kwan,
and headed to Asda in West Bridgford,

and looked like we were going to have
a pizza + alcohol party
(but that was not the case, of course
everything was just cheaper than usual :D)

Oh we were stopped at the checkouts for ID
Gel and I had ID to show,
but Abel and Kar Loon didn't.
and they didn't let us buy the alcohol,
because not everyone in the group had ID
=.= swt.

So Gel and I naughtily sneaked back in
grabbed the alcohol again and paid
with the two boys waiting outside, out of sight, lol.

then we went home and unloaded everything,
and decided to take a bus out to... nowhere
since our NCT cards were already swiped.

We later decided on Morrison's in Clifton

So anyway,
I bought cereal again :p
whaaaaat.... Special K was half price at Morrison's =.=
so adding that to the two packs I bought at Asda,
whaaaaaaat... it was Asda's house brand =.=
and the pack I bought the day before at Sainsbury's
whaaaaaaaaat... I ran out of cereal =.=
I now have 5 packs of cereal
and my milk expired yesterday.

I can't buy more milk,
coz I'm going to Manchester tmr.
Sigh.
Cereal's just gotta wait.

Okays that's all for now
Next post when back from Manch :)

See ya! :D
