A short announcement

Hi everyone,

thanks for faithfully following my blog,

and sharing in my journey of life.

This is to inform everyone

that I no longer have any control over the blog or its contents,

and whatever the admin decides to do with the blog

is up to him entirely.

If you have read the most recent post before this one,

it is up to you if you choose to believe,

but that is his side of the story.

I do not find the need to explain myself to anyone

unless he/she decides to take a neutral standpoint

and listen to my story as well, without bias,

and judge for him/ herself.

If that's the case,

you should know how to contact me personally.

I can certainly tell you,

there are quite a few important points he failed to mention,

and some parts he was even quite mistaken.

However, there is no need to say anymore.

Obviously things have taken a turn for the worst,

and some of us are not quite dealing with the matter rationally.

I can't say I'm not distressed,

but the main point of the breakup is so we can each focus on our studies

and that is what I intend to do

(which is proving rather difficult with the current state of matters).

But anyway, this was supposed to be a short announcement.

So here goes,

in the event I do not have the chance to say any more,

A story i had to tell....

I got into a relationship about 14months ago when I met this girl Kimberly Mak Tsin Tib, we soon found ourselves in a relationship. But right off the bat her past came to haunt us, one of her recent ex-boyfriends came to confront her.

He stormed into the house where we were together and started saying all kinds of things about their and her past, im not sure how much of it was true as he was saying she had been sleeping around with a lot of guys and that her nature would be to leave me for another guy when she gets to UK.

but I stood by and protected her when he started to get violent, forcing her to kiss him. I called the cops when he just refused to go away. He did show up repeatedly for a while, obviously very upset of how their relationship ended. Finally after some time he ceased to bother us and we could get on with our lives.

We got on quite well with ourselves, enjoying time together and with our families going on trips etc.. we were happy with where we were, or so I thought. Then came the time for her to leave for the UK, many times had she just wanted to end our relationship. To me that appeared as just taking the easy way out, I tried to preserve what was important to me and so I thought we should try to maintain our relationship.

6 months went by and it was time for her to fly off, another 6months went by when she was there and we had our ups and downs. We planned a trip for me to go over there and we would travel around UK together a month from now in the summers before I transfer there to complete my studies a few months later.

We started to argue more as she said I was being such a negative person showing my unhappiness towards the distance in between us and it was affecting her. Each time we talked things through and I asked her to just always be honest with me if there is another party involved so at least I know im not wasting my time or hers for that matter. But she said no, there was nobody else.

I knew that she was getting close with one of her housemates so I asked about him and she would answer " he is just like my bro, we just have fun together, there is no way we would have a relationship, besides i got u!"

Recently she went to his hometown, spending time together with him and his family. After that things got tense between us, she felt affected by my negativity and suggest that we ‘put the relationship on hold’, at that point I questioned her again about that guy and she answered the same as before. So after talking we decided to take things slowly.

But something seemed very wrong and so I did something I am not proud of. It wasn’t too difficult to guess her skype password and there I found the truth.

When I confronted her, she confessed and said it has been going on for a while, even before she followed him back to his hometown. She said that I made her sad and he was there when there was nobody else to lean on. She said her feelings for him were more than for me.

She said she still loves me and wants to try and work things out,but when I asked if she is in a relationship with him, she said yes.

She said "it doesn’t matter because at the end of the day it is me she will come back to, because he was leaving for France".

It was only a few nights earlier we confirmed the hostel we were going to stay in when I came to visit her there, only later I found out that she already made plans to go back to his hometown first and then from there come meet me when I arrive in London.

At this point I was quite speechless. I asked her to choose between me or him, she chose me and said she would end things with him.

Just an hour later after talking to a ‘friend’ she changed her mind, thus ending our relationship. She ended with " i spoke to Gell and i think its important tht im happy in a relationship,and im not happy with u.so i had to do this sooner or later.this is good for both of us.and at the end of the day. ‘your just a boy and I have a future ahead’."

Fair enough but is that justification to cheat on me.

Do you not see your own disgust? You are the vile essence that has transformed me into a being so consumed by hate, capable of writing this.

You have tainted the person that was once me.

My perfectly Brummie weekend :)

So I spent a weekend in Birmingham,

visiting Chris and having a tour around

He brought me to markets,

where we had fresh prawns with vinegar

(apparently quite a specialty)

which was more pleasant than I thought it would be :)

Then we took a whirlwind tour

of the streets of Birmingham...

which was really nice,

and I met the Iron Man

and took a photo with the famed bull of the Bull Ring Market :)

Then we took a train to Bournville,

where Cadbury World was situated :)

The moment you were within 500 metres

of the Cadbury factory,

the air was already filled

with the sweet smell of chocolate.

Imagine wafts of chocolatey breeze blowing at you! :D

Yep, that was crazy awesome,

being around soooo much chocolate :)

Then at night we went out with some of Chris' friends,

eeyup, loadsa fun there :)

haven't been to any bars or clubs since I got to the UK,

so this was indeed a pleasant night out,

although we hit like 3 places in one night, but what the hell right :)

Spent the next day with his family,

Had a snack at a nice place called Red Peppers,

His parents are super nice people :)

Shame he's a bit insane :p

Haha :D

Then we visited BBC Birmingham,

Where you could experience being on TV and stuff :)

Yep that was fun :)

Then we went to a nice bar in the countryside,

called The Orange Tree for a drink :)

His dad looks a bit like a mafia boss ;)

lolx :D

That was a really pretty place :)

and the weather was wonderful too!

Plenty of sun and breeze... mmm :)

Oh then we went to this really fantastic place

called Panache for dinner :)

... and the food tastes as good as it looks!

Mmmm :) thoroughly enjoyable!

Then the next day,

we just bummed around at home

until it was time for me to leave...

Chris' dad was supposed to send me

to Birmingham New Street to catch the 3:49pm train.

We left at about 3:15pm,

supposedly going to New Street,

but at 3:49pm we were still on the motorway,

and I thought I missed my train

and would have to take the next one which was an hour later.

So I was a bit chuffed and all that,

but it was a small matter and my spirits were still high.

Until like 5 minutes later,

when I started seeing signs pointing to Nottingham on the motorway =.=

I was like, wuuuuuut, why are we 14 miles from Notts?

Apparently his parents thought it'd be safer

to drive me aaaaall the way back to Notts from Brums,

instead of having me taking trains with all the Brummie nutters.

Chris didn't know about their plan either when we set off,

until about 10 mins into the journey,

when he noticed they weren't going in the direction of the city.

How awesome are his folks, seriously?

I cried when I got back coz I was so touched T.T

so nice to have that family feeling after such a long time.

I miss my family :(

Oh wells, it was a really nice weekend,

and I loved everyone I met!

All's great and everything,

but I've been doing too much of nothing,

and I would seriously have to hit the books,

starting tomorrow! :p

This overwhelming boredom.

I. am. so. bored.

I don't think I've said this since I was like, 9.

(until my brother came along for me to bully)

Ask my mom, she'll tell you

I used to ALWAYS complain about being bored.

But for the past many years,

I've never had that problem

coz I always had something to do,

someone to meet,

somewhere to go.

But not for the past couple of days.

In fact, we were so bored,

we go to Beeston everyday.

EVERYDAY.

Just to walk through the aisles in Sainsbury's

to preserve our sanity

(and to pick up one or two items on offer!)

And I dunno if everyone gets this,

but I dream of things that happened in my day

either something significant that occurred,

or something that was in my mind for most of the day.

Last night,

I dreamt that someone removed

an ultra humongous pimple from my face,

all because I popped a whitehead earlier yesterday.

Popping a whitehead is the most significant thing I did yesterday. FML.

Also, I was so crazily bored,

and figured Abel liked Marmite so much,

that before I threw away my Marmite cereal bar box,

I made this:

Solid Rock Retreat 2010

I spent last weekend away in the countryside,

at the Solid Rock Retreat which was uber awesome!

It was held at the Harby Centre, which was nice and cosy

and they had a trampoline!

We were wonderfully fed by Byron and his team :)

but we also had to do our share of work and washing up!

Had a lovely time of bonding with friends...

Had amazing times of worship and sharing...

Also had our share of fun and games :)

We also spent some time in the countryside...

or rather, the farm next door ;)

Yup, all in all, had a great time :) hehe.

AWESOME! :)

Finally, a proper day out!

Over the last couple of weeks,

Life has been a whirlwind of assignments,

lectures, revision classes and assessments.

Phew!

Finally we get a break and a worry-free day out! :)

So we decided to treat ourselves to a nice lunch

at the Slug and Lettuce :)

It was not very crowded (I think we came early)

and near enough so we could spend maximum time eating

before watching Clash of the Titans at Cineworld

We ordered starters of Nachos and the Ultimate Platter

For sharing mains we ordered

a Chicken Milanese

a Salmon, Haddock and King Prawn Pie

a Moroccan Chicken Salad

a Baked Linguine Carbonara

and the Ultimate Beef Burger

Then for dessert we had Tiramisu

and a Hot Chocolate-Puddle Sponge Pudding with vanilla ice-cream

Hehe, I always love good company :)

Then we watched the movie,

which I rate only 5/10 because of the sheer speed

it's like watching a summary of the proper Greek mythology!

After which, we walked around and did some shopping,

and dear Philip was desperately pestering us for Starbucks, lol.

So we were like OKAY lah, gogogo get your Starbucks, haha.

Then Philip was a happy boy :D

Not long after that Wai Kwan had to leave :(

She had some personal problems to settle

and she needed some sleep, coz she didn't sleep last night.

I told her "look up look up, don't look so emo!"

After that we hopped on a bus to Asda,

and went to buy groceries! :) hehe.

The funny part was the wait at the bus stop.

We forgot to check the time the bus was coming,

so by the time we got out, we had half an hour to wait at the stop :(

So what to do? Camwhore lor :D

Oh but then Abel was busy eating cheese balls

Then I decided to go kacau him :D

and then that sparked an idea!

LOLx!

Anyway, after getting on the bus from Asda back to the city,

there was ANOTHER half an hour wait

til the bus came for us to go home =.=

So what to do? Camwhore summore lor :D

and this time, we had a billboard to entertain us!

Haha siao bunch of people :D

Finally, home!

Look how much worth of groceries we bought!

Oh and I bought a bit of cereal

Okay, maybe quite a large bit of cereal... lalala~

eheh. paiseh.

So that was our fantastic day out! :) :) :) hehe.

Today, it was a little different.

I had to pay a visit to the International Office,

which was on Jubilee Campus

because they sent me an email

saying they needed to scan a copy of my visa.

So there we went after class,

on the Jubilee Hopper onto Jubilee Campus.

This is their Halls of Residence. HALLS OKAY.

So we ended up in May Sum stuffing ourselves

until our stomachs expanded so much

it was positively in contact with our lungs

and we couldn't breathe properly.

I'm serious.

"Hmm, yeah"

"Hmmmm.... wanna go to Morrison's?"

"Hmm, for what?"

"Haha, get cider? LOL. that's the only thing I want from there"

So we ended up in Morrison's

freezing our butts off waiting for multiple buses in the process

and a happy kimmyberry

came home with 5 bottles of the most amazing cider. Ever.

Ooooh because I haven't baked for so long

I decided to start with something simple

just in case my skills went a bit rusty :p

So just to try my hand at baking again,

I decided on a chocolate banana crumble :)

Bananas...

Flour...

Drinking chocolate...

Sugar...

and butter...

Mix 'em all up....

Add some brazil nuts...

Sprinkle the mixture over the bananas...

Sprinkle the rest of the brazil nuts on top...

Bake in the oven for 40 mins...

Remove and leave to cool...

Not bad, look quite like the illustration on the recipe :)

Serve! :)

A Sunday chance encounter

Today I met a little boy

as I was heading back to home

He had with him an oversized toy

but apart from that he was alone.

His eyes had a sad sparkle

his speech chatty yet reserved

The sky was clear and didn't yield a trickle

it was a wonderful day to be on a bicycle.

He pointed out it's faults and flaws

The rusty chains and the peeling paints

the clunking sound he couldn't take anymore

It looked like it had been through a war!

He struggled to ride a bike too large for him

picture a boy, maybe no more than ten

Legs hardly extending beyond the rim

but he persisted, it was going to make him a man.

He told me of a new bike he was to get soon

Shame his mother was dead, he told me too.

His aunt lived, just around the corner

and it was she, who brought him up, he loved her.

As we parted ways

He said to me, "you have a good day!"

I smiled to myself as I entered my place

ah, the wonders of the Lord and his grace!

Today I met a little boy

Whose demeanour intrigued me

expressions puzzled me

and whose courage astounded me.

So that day Sainsbury's was having a promotiion

where it was 2 jars of cook-in sauce going for £2

So I bought a jar of Homepride pasta sauce

and another jar of Sharwood's Tikka Masala sauce.

In addition, the naans were also going for 2 packs for £2

so I sapu sekaligus also la.

Came back,

made some chicken tikka masala,

made some naan to go with it...

let the others have a little taste, and boy was it goooood!

So our next trip to Sainsbury's, we bought more.

...and more...

... and more!

okay, I know this seems a bit excessive,

but hey,

they were cheap :D

One jar can last 2 meals summore, good deal wert :D

Manchester Day 3: Home of the Devils

WHOO!

I finally have the time to sit down

and do my last blog entry on Manchester!

Yes, I know it was forever ago,

but it's OLD TRAFFORD...

you can't say you're not curious, eh? ;)

So anyway, we took the tram there

coz it's a bit out of the way from the city

When we arrived in Old Trafford,

the Stadium was a little walk away from the station

so we took in some sights on the way...

Not long after, we arrived at the Stadium!

Bought tickets to the ~~museum and~~ tour

it's a shame they didn't provide tour only tickets

coz due to time constraints,

we couldn't go look at the museum anyway :(

But then again for a student price of £8.50,

I think I shouldn't be complaining :p

Okay let's go! :)

We had a really good tour guide :)

He was funny and really informative,

so it made the tour all that more enjoyable!

After telling us about the pitch,

we had a tour through the Munich Tunnel,

which commemorates the Munich Air Disaster of 1958.

We also got to see the players' changing rooms!

We also went to kepoh in the stands... :D

As a matter of principle,

I won't go stand in the "home" stands :D

that we HAVE to go through the merchandise store

LOL.

oh and there was this most adorablest teddy!

oh dear I fell in love with it

the moment I laid eyes on it

just too bad that it shed quite a bit of fur

and I didn't think I could handle the thought

of having a bald teddy in a couple of months

(not to mention a very runny nose from allergies)

I was even thinking of a name for it already

awww... such a shame :(

So that wraps up my trip to Manchester! :)

On the fateful 6th of March...

2 brilliant people were born.

so first we surprised the Sexy Chessmaster...

and had a little celebration and chitchat :)

After which, we went over

to surprise the Emo Boy... :)

The candles blew out while waiting! Haha :D
Luckily we were swift enough to save the day! :)

Wei Han and his gf was also there :)
so we sat around, had cake and a couple of beers...

Gel and I as usual,

having some touchy-feely fun :D

So on the fateful day of 6th March

Distractions and Procrastinations

I've been meaning to study since Friday,

and it is now 2.30am on SUNDAY,

and I am barely halfway through.

Procrastinated the entire weekend,

This morning, the moment I opened my eyes,

is that.... snow?

It is, it is!

and there's so much of it!

According to Byron,

snow is caused by pooping angels =.=

Bear in mind outside my window usually looks like this:

All over my windowsill!

Anyway, I had to jump out of bed

and rush to dress up,

coz I had choir practice!

Not long after that,

I went out to meet Jason...

Woah such a lot of snow!

Someone left a very deep footprint!

We had McDs drive-thru for breakfast,

Oh McDs!

I haven't had ANY fast food since I got here,

much less McDs,

and SAUSAGE AND EGG MCMUFFIN at that!

Anyway when we arrived at the Nottingham High School

where the rehearsal session was supposed to be,

a very fascinated Ben was waiting to pelt a snowball at me! :(

LOL a snowball fight (sort of) between Jason and Ben...

*duck* LOL

Anyway there were about 100 people at the rehearsal

which was nowhere near the 160

that were supposed to turn up...

The choir included people of various ages,

including little kids and teenagers from the local schools!

After lunch,

we practiced together with the orchestra

and oh dear, the orchestra was magical!

It was so so fantastic,

and I made some recordings as we sang,

and as I played it back later,

OMG we sounded FANTASTIC.

This is gonna be a brilliant performance!

So if you're in Nottingham,

please please please do yourself (and me) a favour

and come for the concert!

It's gonna be really really good!

On a random funny note,

we were asked to pack our own lunch

since the rehearsal was to be for the whole day

and ther weren't any shops nearby the school,

and this guy brought small luggage full of foodstuff :D

Manchester Day 3: Love is in the air!

I've just been tied up with a lot of stuff

By today (16th Feb),

the flowers from home had started to bloom...

The day before The Day...

So on the 13th Feb,

BGP organised a CNY lunch event for its residents.

Unsurprisingly, tell us about free food and booze,

and we are so there! :)

There was a wide array of food... we were spoilt for choice! :)

So because we thought we could only go once

(which was true, technically,

until they decided they had too much leftovers)

we piled our plates as high as the sky! :D

The event was catered by Yun's

so it was fairly decent Chinese fare...

and the bunch of us went home well-fed :)

Ji Hang sort of couldn't wake up, lol.

Anyway, after that we went home

and started to prepare for the big feast that night!

While everything was simmering away,

nguahahahaha.

Soon enough, the dishes were ready!

I made siu yuk... (which came out perfect this time)

woohoo, I rock! :)

Kar Loon contributed some veg...

Ji Hang made curry fish,

which had been on the hob for so long

the bones were extremely soft or some disintegrated

so you could basically just pop the whole thing in your mouth :)

Gok Hau made Hakka Mun Cha Yuk...

which turned out pretty well,

despite what he would tell you :p

Gel made soup, which was so good

that I went crazy and forgot to take pics of it :p

... and Philip made yee sang! :D

seriously, this boy is epic.

he personally selected and hand-grated everything

and made the whole thing from scratch, including the sauce!

None of that ready-made nonsense okay!

Okay some of it were improvised,

because it's hard to get the usual ingredients, being in UK and all

but it was a really really really good effort!

woohoo, lou sang! :)

You know what's the awesome part?

It tastes like the real thing!

Complete with salmon and pickled ginger,

plum sauce, peanuts and sesame seeds!

EPICALLY AWESOME.

Dinner was great altogether :) yummmm

After dinner, we sat around and gambled a bit...

just for the sake of CNY, lol.

We had 10p bets on blackjack la, adui.

Then Wai Kwan treated us to dessert... apple crumble!

mmm... yumm :)

According to Chris it was "too much crumble"

but I don't care, it was yummy :) hehe.

Then Wai Kwan left, supposedly back home for a shower

and told us she'd be back...

but that sneaky little girl...

went off and only came back at midnight

with a surprise for me! :)

eeee.... sho shweet of them :)

They even gave me a card!

Sweethearts, all of them :)

Frankly, I think he was a bit traumatised by that hug :D

Then there were drinks all around...

yum.... seng!

Didn't take long before some of them

had just a tad too much to drink...

... and our first target passed out :D

That woman seriously COULD NOT drink.

Had to carry her into bed, lol.

Out cold, epic pwnage!

Next one down was the boy...

... and this was hilarious

because the more tipsy he got

the more he annoyed everyone...

... especially Gel

who was getting increasingly grumpy as she was tipsy

Urp, she has that creepy

"I'm gonna eat you for supper" look :p

Same one she had in Manchester!

eeeek! *goosebumps* me sked!

Yeap then Ji Hang was patting her head

as if she was a doggy,

asking her to "chill", lol.

He was also a bit high la...

Finally, she was out!

LOL!

After she went to bed,

there were high fives all around,

as we managed to put out all our targets for the night!

Then the proud 5 that were left decided to camwhorea bit

Everyone around me has turned 21.

Now, it's my turn.

What have I achieved thus far?

Not a lot perhaps.

But I've had a great childhood.

Awesome adolescence.

Fantastic teenage years.

I've met (nearly) all sorts of people

made a lot of acquaintances,

tried my hand at a lot of crazy, risky things

garnered whatever experiences I could

while I didn't have to bear the full responsibility of it.

I've got a wonderfully loving family,

crazily awesome friends,

and a brilliant boyfriend.

I'm three-quarters my way through a decent degree,

living independently (sort of),

learnt how to take care of myself properly

and everything's looking rather bright and sunny.

Well, sort of.

Maybe it's just another number,

maybe it's just another day,

maybe it's just another occasion.

But in about half an hour,

it's my turn.

Here's this step into adulthood.

Hello, world. It's me. Grown up.

Manchester Day 3: Markets Epic Fail =.=

It is official.

These English people have NO IDEA what a market is.

Think of markets in Malaysia,

and you think of rowdy stall owners,

noisy yelling hawkers,

and adamant ~~cheapskates~~ bargain-hunters.

Think, the pasar pagi your mum buys wantan mee at

Think, the pasar malam you pak thor at while eating ramly burger

Think, the pasar tani your mum buys the freshest sawi from.
Think, Petaling St market with dizzying arrays of imitation goods
Think, Taman Connaught's famed endless pasar malam.

Here, "markets" are lies, I tell you.

LIES.

Well it started out on a gloomy day

with a walk through Picadilly "Gardens"

which really, it seems more like a concrete park

Where, supposedly,

Manchester's Real Food Market was to be set up.

We expected this big pasar malam-like thing

with endless array of aromatic food...

for us to feast our eyes and hungry tummies on...

Imagine our disappointment when all we saw

were two meagre rows of stalls. =.=

Hello, this is called bluff people okay! >:(

Although the food looked pretty good,

choices were limited and certainly insufficient to satiate us.

two rows like that mana cukup =.=

sigh, we kena con.

Anyway, we didn't eat anything from there,

and moved on instead to the Arndale Centre,

In the Arndale Centre,

which was a big shopping mall,

we just jalan-jalan while looking for the Arndale Market

which we hoped was better than the Food Market!

We found it! :)

Well definitely, this place looked like it had more to offer!

:) we were definitely spoilt for choice here!

So Gel ordered a Greek Chicken Salad

Abel ordered some Greek beef stew thing

(I forgot the exact name :p)

I ordered a kebab, which was awesome stuff :)

so awesome, Philip went and ordered the same thing :D

Gel also enjoyed the other half of my kebab!

mmm... Arndale Market wins hands down! :)

So that was our market excursion :)

Quite fail la, actually.

Anyway, next Manchester post on Gel finding true love! :)

Manchester Day 2: Had a little Paiseh for dinner

Firstly, zomg I can't believe I'm still on Day 2 =.=

Anyway, after a very informative afternoon

down at the Museum of Science and Industry,

we wandered around looking for some place to eat.

And boy, did we wander.

We wandered all the way from Liverpool St

to Deansgate,

back to St Peter's Square,

back to Deansgate...

while Gel was complaining of holding her bladder :p

... and then we decided to have Korean food.

Based on GPS and Google,

we found that there was a Korean restaurant

on King Street

and so we headed on there

(all the while Gel was holding in her pee)

on the way passing a restaurant,

that had a big SEAFOOD ad at its entrance

(and of course, seafood-crazy Gel stopped to

browse at their menu).

We arrived at the Korean restaurant only to find

that it only opened later in the evening at 6:30pm!

At this point, Gel declared her bladder bursting

and so we decided to settle for the restaurant

that we passed by earlier.

Presenting, San Carlo's Manchester...

The moment the 6 of us strutted in,

we knew we had made a huge mistake.

All the men were in SMART WEAR,

and the women were in DINNER DRESSES.

Us?

In jeans and tees.

DAMNNN.

The host asked for the name we used for reservation

Ji Hang sheepishly replied that we didn't have one

(and I was so prepared at this point to be turned away)

but lo and behold!

The staff went off to look for a table for us!

As we were shown to our table,

I glanced around the place

and was ABSOLUTELY SURE

every pair of eyes were staring at us.

like wth are these kids doing here?!

so paiseh.

As I was thinking

"Oh shoot, don't tell me we misunderstood the prices on the menu

was it... £8.49 hundred for a pizza?"

we sat down and got ourselves comfortable...

as I lifted up the menu,

Ji Hang (who was already looking at the menu)

nearly gave me a heart attack when he exclaimed

"oh dear, what have we got ourselves into?"

Panic. Panic. PANIC.

I was like, "what...?"

while my mind was screaming

"OH DAMN don't tell me the prices are through the roof!"

Turns out the prices were as the menu outside...

and Hang was exclaiming at the Wine List =.=

(which were about £50 a bottle.)

Damn, Hang, I nearly fainted lah!

Feeling much more relieved,

we intently studied the menu :)

See, I wasn't joking about the "intently".

After the captain took our orders

I glanced around the restaurant

enjoying the atmosphere...

It was a very nice place,

and everyone was happy :)

Then... appetizers were served

Yeah babeh!

This was

The Great San Carlo Antipasti

(£8.95 per head but this was only for 3 pax)

The lighting wasn't fantastic for photos, but... I tried.

Doesn't do the dish any justice though.

Looked much better in reality! :)

See lah, the forks all attacking already =.=

Then the mains came...

Abel's Spaghetti Gamberoni (£11.50)

According to Abel, it's only a bit fancier than the usual.

but then again, don't take his word for it.

Abel has the weirdest tastebuds :p

My Ravioli Salmone (£9.95)

It was super stuffed with salmon

in a sauce that was an explosion of flavours...

AWESOME.

Gel's Pizza Pollo Parmi (£9.20)

This was super tasty as well...

The pizza base was fluffy and light,

crispy on the crusts from the stonebaking...

and it was so sinfully cheesy.

Mmmmmmm......

Gok Hau's Lasagne Emiliane (£8.50)

No feedback on how it tasted, so no idea.

Then, Ji Hang's Fillet Steak (£17.95)

I didn't try this either, but Hang says its good :)

Lastly, Philip's Saltimbocca Roman (£14.95)

I *think* it was veal,

and he seemed to enjoy it a lot,

so I take it that it was good :)

Although we were absolutely stuffed,

we decided to seal the meal with some shared desserts,

so we ordered a Tiramisu (£5.25) and a Crème brûlée (£5.25)

Both of which looked so good,

we gobbled half of it up

before I had the chance to take photos, lol :)

The bill came up to a whopping £114.20

but everyone paid for their respective portions

and considering I only paid £15,

I'd say that was a pretty good meal! :)

I would SO DEFINITELY go there again,

or visit their other branches! :)

Billy's leaving tmr back for Hong Kong

for Chinese New Year (so lucky =.=)

so we decided to have a pre-CNY dinner,

just between us Best Flatmates Forever! :D

The usual four of us,

plus Chris...

and Billy!

So of course everyone was uber busy

towards the late part of the afternoon

six of us crammed in the kitchen

getting in each other's way :D

By the time I started taking photos,

Billy was busy with his pasta salad...

Abel was helping me finish up with the tang yuan...

Obviously quite proud of his tang yuan ;)

While Chris was just walking around

pretending to be busy :p

Haha.

Kidding la, he had proudly finished making his spring rolls :)

Abel was also doing some "backseat cooking"

where he conned the other two into cooking for him

while he conveniently barked instructions at them, tsk tsk :D

And then he pretended he did something...

LIAR. :p

When everyone was settled for dinner...

The array of food looked pretty good! :)

We had spring rolls and pasta salad for starters...

For the mains we had...

Siu yuk...

Sweet and sour pork...

Mun chu yuk...

and vegetables with braised mushrooms...

and for dessert, tang yuan and green bean soup :)

After the meal,

we had plenty of leftovers,

and lotsa washing up to do!

Fantastic meal with fantastic people :)
